Force and Motion

A force is a push or a pull. When you push a toy car, you are applying a force. Forces can make things start moving, stop moving, speed up, or change direction.

Motion is when an object changes its position. The speed of an object tells us how fast it moves. A cheetah runs fast — it has high speed. A turtle moves slowly — it has low speed.
